Toronto - On Thursday, May 6, 2010, Manulife Financial will webcast its joint Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders of Manulife Financial Corporation and Annual and Special Meeting of Policyholders and the Shareholder of The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. Later that day, Manulife Financial Corporation will webcast its first quarter 2010 Financial Results Conference Call.

Annual and Special Meeting
Manulife Financial’s Annual and Special Meeting will be held at the Company’s Head Office, 200 Bloor Street East, Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, May 6, 2010, beginning at 11:00 a.m. (ET).

A live video feed and slides will be accessible via the Manulife Financial website at Manulife Presentations. An archived version of the webcast will be available from 6:00 p.m. (ET) May 6, 2010 at the same URL for 180 days following the Meeting.

First Quarter 2010 Financial Results
Manulife Financial Corporation’s first quarter 2010 Financial Results will be issued the morning of May 6, 2010. The Conference Call with analysts will follow that afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m. (ET) and run approximately one hour. Scheduled Company speakers include Donald Guloien, President and Chief Executive Officer, John DesPrez III, Chief Operating Officer and Michael Bell, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

A live audio feed and slides will be accessible via the Manulife Financial website at Manulife Quarterly Reports. The archived webcast will be available at the same address from 6:00 p.m. (ET) on May 6, 2010 until August 4, 2010.
