Introducing “Family Income Protection Rider” and “Dread Disease Income Protection Rider”
Tokyo - Manulife Life Insurance Company (“Manulife Japan;” Head Office: Chofu City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Geoff Crickmay) announced that it will commence sales of two new riders, “Family Income Protection Rider1” and “Dread Disease Income Protection Rider,” developed to further enhance the functions of the Company’s universal-type insurance products “ManuFlex,” “ManuMed” and “ManuStep.” Sales will commence nationwide on May 7, 2007 through Manulife Japan’s own sales network of professional sales representatives (known as PlanRight Advisors).

The addition of these new riders will further enhance the unique features of these universal-type insurance products, which not only enable customers to select suitable riders to meet their needs in the course of their changing life stages, but also provide them with the flexibility to change the coverage to meet the needs of each stage.
