Fourth consecutive win for Manulife in top–brand awards

Half-a-million Hongkongers vote the insurer best-of-the-best again in the Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards poll

Hong Kong— Manulife (International) Limited (MIL) has done it again — for the fourth consecutive year, the insurer has topped the poll for the prestigious Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards in the insurance category.

Commented MIL’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, Hong Kong, Michael Huddart, “We are really delighted to have won this award yet again since it re-affirms that our corporate values are appreciated by our customers and demonstrates the consistency with which we put them into practice.”

Organised annually by Yahoo! Hong Kong, one of the leading online portals in Hong Kong, Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards were launched to recognise those companies that have established outstanding brands in terms of the quality of their products and services, and to encourage others to emulate them.

The international research firm Synovate collected a total of 251 nominations in 19 industry categories from professionals in the marketing and advertising fields and executives from various industries. These were then listed in a public online ballot on the Yahoo! Hong Kong website, which attracted more than 500,000 votes.

As Mr. Huddart put it,“The poll results reflect what half-a-million people think and feel strongly enough about to go the bother of voting for. We regard our ongoing success in the Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards as a strong vindication of our entire approach to products that fill a genuine need and unparalleled customer service.”
