Appointments Further Strengthen MFC Global’s Outreach Efforts In Canadian Marketplace
Toronto – MFC Global Investment Management has appointed two members to its institutional sales team for Canada, MFC Global President and Chief Operating Officer Jean Francois Courville said today.
Martin Leroux and David Scoon are joining MFC Global as Vice Presidents of Consultant Relations and Institutional Sales, respectively. Both men will report to Stuart Graham, Managing Director, Institutional Sales, and their appointments are effective immediately.
“As MFC Global continues to grow as an organization and expand the range of products available to its clients, we are pleased to add two highly experienced and talented new members to our Canadian sales team,” Mr. Courville said. “We are firmly committed to becoming one of the pre-eminent asset managers providing investment solutions to institutional investors, investment funds, and individual clients of our wealth management businesses in key markets around the world.”
Based in Montreal, Mr. Leroux will have national responsibility for consultant relationships in Canada as well as overseeing the positioning of MFC Global mandates with consultants worldwide.
He has extensive experience in the institutional market, holding a variety of positions over the past two decades, including portfolio management, consulting, executive sales and management positions at major investment and consulting organizations, including Mercer Global Investments Canada and Fidelity Investments (in both Canada and the U.S.).
Mr. Leroux graduated from the University of Montreal with a B.S. in Mathematics and he is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
Mr. Scoon will be based in Toronto and will work closely with decision-makers at pension plans, investment funds, foundations and trusts to build new business for MFC Global mandates.
With more than 25 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry, he has held senior institutional sales and marketing positions at major investment and wealth management companies, including Fidelity Investments Canada, Scotia Cassels Investment Counsel, Frank Russell Canada, The Commercial Capital Corporation and Toronto Dominion Bank.
Mr. Scoon graduated from McMaster University with a B.A. (Honours) in Psychology and later earned an M.B.A. from the Ivey School of Business University of Western Ontario.
