Tokyo - Manulife Life Insurance Company (Manulife Japan; President & CEO: Geoff Crickmay), will commence sales of “Jack-in-the-Box”, an innovative investment-type annuity insurance product that enables customers to lock in and ensure investment gains, through Towa Bank, Ltd. (President: Kunimitsu Yoshinaga) on January 4, 2008.
This new investment-type annuity insurance product, designed to meet the needs of customers who have been looking for an opportunity to invest their funds in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, is equipped with a set of cutting-edge features. These features include: 1) an investment target-setting function that allows customers to easily set up a desirable and clear investment target, based upon which their funds can be assertively invested into a Special Account with a proven and internationally diversified investment portfolio, 2) an investment gains lock-in function that automatically locks in and secures any investment gain when the investment target is achieved, effective from the first anniversary following the policy date, and 3) a function which guarantees the minimum total annuity.
This new insurance product is named “Jack-in-the-Box” because it is user-friendly and contains attractive features which customers will find highly pleasing.
