Kuala Lumpur - Manulife Malaysia officially opened its Regional Support Centre (RSC) in Juru, AutoWorld, Seberang Perai today. The RSC, which was previously located in Bukit Mertajam, was declared open by YB Puan Chong Eng, who was representing YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Chief Minister of Penang. Puan Chong was accompanied by Manulife’s senior management members.

“Our relocation to Juru, one of the fastest growing business hubs in the state of Penang, will enable us to better serve our customers. It also reflects the company’s commitment to this region as a global market leader,” said Mr. Michael Chan, CEO of Manulife Insurance Berhad.

“Our Juru RSC is conveniently located to serve our customers in the northern region. Our customers will receive high quality customer services in our new office here in Auto World. This RSC provides facilities for training, customer service and marketing. It is also equipped with a proper set-up for our agency team to conduct recruitment activities. And, with its strategic location in AutoWorld, it will help to raise awareness about Manulife’s presence in the North,” continued Mr. Chan.

“There is still much room for growth in providing life insurance solutions as the penetration rate for life insurance stands at a low 43%. With our increased presence in key market centres, demonstrated by our relocation to Juru and the recent opening of new branches in Melaka and Kota Kinabalu, we are in a strong position to take advantage of the growth opportunities in this industry,” he further added.

In conjunction with today’s opening, children from The Salvation Army Penang were invited to participate in the opening ceremony. The charity’s Home for Children also received food and stationery items from Manulife Malaysia.
